Strengthening Human Resilience

Qubrium was founded to build a world in which the people who keep society running understand what holds it together well enough to protect it before it fails.

The World Doesn't Break in One Place Anymore

The systems that keep society running โ€” power, water, communications, hospitals, supply chains โ€” are massively interconnected across the physical environment, digital networks, and the scientific and human processes that govern how each one actually behaves under stress. Between them sit cascading risks that no single discipline fully understands.

No agency and no system watches across all of these seams at once.

We live in enormously complex times. When something breaks, knowing what breaks next has never mattered more.

A different kind of intelligence

Qubrium maps the world's critical infrastructure, so when something breaks, you know what breaks next.

Most existing tools stop at an organization's fence line and focus on threat defense. Qubrium works differently. It is an intelligence platform combining human analysis and artificial intelligence โ€” not to replace judgment, but to achieve the scale, scenario variability, and governance depth that no human analyst team could sustain alone.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, Qubrium is uniquely structured to be trusted by operators, government agencies, and stakeholders alike โ€” because it is not any of them. Its purpose is strategic planning and governance foresight, not incident response or asset defense.

Built for high-consequence decisions

Infrastructure Operators

You are held accountable for service reliability and public impact, even when failures originate in upstream dependencies you don't own and can't see. Real-time response tooling is already abundant. What is missing is planning intelligence that identifies which external dependencies most threaten your mission-critical outcomes before disruption forces the question.

Investors

From a changing climate to the sprawling attack surface of critical infrastructure, the assets you finance are increasingly exposed to systemic failure risks that traditional operational metrics can't capture. As insurers withdraw and regulators scrutinize, Qubrium gives you clarity over the risks compounding in your portfolio before they reach your balance sheet.

Insurers

With entire classes of infrastructure failure now exceeding insurability, the exposure in your book is structural and it is growing. The interconnected nature of modern infrastructure means correlated losses that traditional catastrophe models were never built to see. Qubrium gives you consequence-driven intelligence to support underwriting limits, pricing, and upstream risk engagement with insureds.

Government & Public Safety

From emergency planners to regulators and intelligence organizations, no single agency has a unified view of how infrastructure risk propagates across jurisdictions and sectors. Governance is too often siloed by sector, reactive by design, and blind to the dependencies that determine whether coordination is ready before disaster strikes. Qubrium is the trusted external layer that provides an integrated cross-sector risk picture no agency has the mandate or capability to maintain alone.

Careers

Qubrium is early and will be launching soon with its founding team โ€” a small group of people who will shape not just the product, but the institution. If what follows resonates with you, we want to hear from you now! We anticipate growing rapidly and want to begin building relationships now.

WHY THIS EXISTS

The people responsible for keeping society running - from infrastructure operators to government officials - are making high-consequence decisions without an accurate, complete picture of what they depend on. No one has built the intelligence that maps the world we live in. Qubrium is building it.

We are not a tech company that happened to choose infrastructure as a vertical. We are building an analytic institution that happens to use technology and artificial intelligence to get the mission done at scale. The distinction matters for everything from how we work, to what we value, to who belongs here.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are not looking for the standard startup profile. Qubrium needs people who have operated in high-consequence environments and who carry the judgment that comes from having seen what happens when lives and the stability of society are at stake. We seek experienced professionals in a sprawling range of disciplines who are ready to bring their judgment and experience to a different kind of problem.

That means we want practitioners, not theorists. Our mission will need to be led and staffed by people who have been in the room when something unexpected broke; who understand at a visceral level why the terrain matters before crisis hits.

We want cross-domain thinkers. The people who feel slightly too broad for most organizations. Or who have spent careers being told they need to pick a lane when what they actually are is genuinely multi-disciplinary. Qubrium is being built to empower exactly those people. The dependency problems we are solving requires minds that can hold physical infrastructure, digital networks, governance structures, and behavioral science simultaneously; that is the job.

We want people who do not need the institutional backstop to get their mission done. We aren't at all casual about supporting our people, but we are building something that does not yet have any established playbooks. That makes comfort in ambiguity a foundational asset to the mission we're tackling and the work you'd be taking on.

ON NEURODIVERGENCE AND NON-LINEAR PATHS

We mean this plainly: Qubrium is actively interested in candidates whose backgrounds do not fit sterotypical.

We are looking for people with extraordinary capabilities, even those who have been systematically filtered out of conventional hiring processes, whether by keyword screens, pedigree requirements, or interview styles that measure performance anxiety rather than judgment. We know that some of the most analytically gifted people we will ever work with process information differently, communicate differently, and look nothing like a polished LinkedIn profile. We also know that the problems we are solving are exactly the kind that benefits from cognitive, intellectual, and creative diversity.

If your path has been non-linear โ€” career changes, transitions, gaps, unconventional combinations of experience โ€” that is not a red flag at Qubrium.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING TOWARD

We are building a long-horizon institution, not a quick tech flip. Resilience begins with people, so our compensation and benefits philosophy is designed to reflect that: flexible working arrangements, liberal leave allowances, full family health coverage at no cost to employees, parental leave, and a defined benefit pension program on the long-term roadmap. We are trying to build a serious place where serious people can settle, do the best work of their careers, and stay for the mission and the people.

Qubrium is a Public Benefit Corporation. This structure is not marketing. We are making a legal commitment to balance mission against profit in ways that protect the work when commercial pressure pushes us toward shortcuts. It also shapes who we can be for our customers: a neutral, trusted convener for our customers and stakeholders.

HOW WE HIRE

We are building a human-centered hiring process that starts and ends with respect. Every application is reviewed by a human being. We do not use AI screening or automated rejection. We will never make you do silly videos in response to a computer's questions. We will not make you duplicate-enter your resume into a tedious form after you have already attached it. We do not assign unpaid work outside of the interview. You will not be ghosted, nor will you be asked to do 11 interviews with every stakeholder under the sun. Your interviews will be judged on your experience, how you think about problems, and your judgment as it relates to the real problems we're solving, not theatrics. Hiring decisions at Qubrium are made by the hiring manager, not a consensus panel. We aim to provide specific feedback to every finalist.

Respect works both ways.

We target a process of 14 days from first contact to offer. We do not always hit that. We always try. And our hiring managers are expected to dedicate a meaningful portion of their time to hiring when roles are open, because finding the right people is not a side job here. It is foundational leadership work.

IF THIS SPEAKS TO YOU

When positions open, they will be posted in here. In detail, honest about tradeoffs, and written for professional adults.

In the meantime, we are always looking to begin building relationships. If you have read this and felt something - if the problem resonates, and the culture described is one you have been looking for, or if you have a background that does not fit neatly anywhere but might fit here โ€” say hello to us.

Tell us who you are, what you have done, and drop a resume or a LinkedIn profile. Don't fret about resumes structured for an ATS. Just share what you have actually worked on and why you think it might matter to Qubrium.

Resilience starts with people.
